Wow, it's already been a year!
Spoiler: Free stuff at the end of this post!
Last year, September 2007 we've got the domain name, the forum software and started building the site, posting the fall season news and information. And talked to our staff and members on what to put on the web site.
Within weeks we've ended up in the search engines and expanded our site with addons unique to our site, and installed even more addons with the great help from Distance to improve the overall functionality of our community.
We got a lot of members and a lot of discussions going. We received donations and premium membership subscriptions and adsense income which helped up invest in more software licenses and server bills.
Our community moved from Hostmaven.com to Outershift.com onto it's own dedicated server at ThePlanet.com. This allowed us to grow the network. We now know what we want, and what our visitors (you) want. So we will not be sitting still and will keep developing our site. We now also have more time and resources to add communities. We've started this summer with one: wetalkmovies.net
Yes, you read it right. We've moved from we talk tv into a wetalk network. Our communities will range in popular topics such as tv - movies - games - music, etc. So if you like tv but like music more, you are at the right place, stick around and you might see a music corner being build in 2009.
Anyway, for now we're a network with two communities. TV and MOVIES.
And here's the best thing. Your login works on both sites! And your postcount shows on both sites! Very easy.
Ok, so we started in September 2007, added a movies community summer 2008, and have fall season 2008 again on the tv site. And are now one year old with the network. Amazing progress. Time flies when you're having fun.
Thank you all for joining our site, for signing up and posting to topics. Please make new topics if you feel like discussing something. Don't forget, we also have an offtopic forum if you want to talk about something else.
Our social community is a great way to stay up to date on info, share the info you found online. And of course a great way to make new friends and talk to them about your favorite tv and movies.
