It has come to our attention that certain people could not access our network from certain angles. We are posting this announcement here to let you know we are aware and will be looking into this. One of the updates is that we're no longer running in a specific debug level to find bugs in the loggin system. We found the issue and this has been resolved. Any unforseen network splits should be very limited now.
Another update is that we've cleared our access list again. This means that people who's access has been resticted in the past will now be able to connect again. These users will have another chance to join the network and join their favorite channel. Continued abuse will be reported from now on to the hosting provider, involved web site owner or in regards to piracy or spam to the internet service provider. I think it is not much to ask to please behave and use common sense when chatting on any of our chat channels.
I'd also like to point out that our network is free for everybody to join. We won't advertise, spam or throw sponsors into your face or anything. We just like to chat, and have always believed this should be free for everybody. If you just want to chat, or have a forum, or even a vB powered forum, you can join our chat channels and chat. You're also free to register your nickname to make your profile more unique. You're also free to join new channels and make them your own. We will provide channel services for op management. We also provide a database bot and a google bot for in-channel-information. Via pjirc you can add a chat section to your web site. This is a free java applet. This allows your users with little knowledge to join the chat server and your own chat channel with a single click.
Our network is provided by hosting providers Viper.UK.Net and ACMEShells.com - we host an average of 1000 user sessions per irc server and we can expand as much as we need. So feel free to contact our staff if you wish to hold a chat event or expect to have over 500 users in your channel.
