It is with great honor that I announce the release of the latest vBulletin Fans Professional Style Package, version 1.6.1 optimized for vBulletin version 3.6.2

[Version: Package 1.6.1 for vBulletin 3.6.2]
[Build: 04th November 2006]

[This multiple award winning style includes]:

  • Introduced 1 additional alt style for free!
A few of the updates are:
  • Uses the latest templates from vBulletin version 3.6.2 (works on any 3.6)
  • The design of the postbit and postbit_legacy templates updated a bit
  • Uses the latest 3.6.2 templates for optimal performance
  • vBulletin-Fans.com design of the postbit and postbit_legacy templates updated a bit
  • Design bug fixes from the 1.5 release
    ** Fixed the footer border outline issue
    ** Fixed the logout error
    ** and much more..
  • Implemented and Improved the vBulletin-Fans revamped reputation system (Karma)
    ** Give Karma using AJAX

- Forumhome template
  • Added a "Launch date" ticker on forumhome [Read the Install Instructions for more detail]
  • Added a "New Announcement" button to the forumdisplay page ( * Only if the user has permission to start a new announcement)
  • Removed the column that holds the last post information on forumhome page and merged into one column to have a more unique looks.
- Navbar template
  • Added a check box option to search just titles only in the Search dropdown menu
  • Added a "My Posts" link to your navbar with a drop down menu for post and threads.
  • Display of live time and date
- Showthread template
  • An extra breadcrumb under your showthread. Allows easy navigation throughout showthread and forumdisplay.
  • Added a "New Poll" button( * Only if the user has permission to start a new new poll)
- Showthread quickreply template
  • Added a link (popup) to Smilies in Quick Reply
- Postbit and postbit_legacy templates
  • Added option to [Ban / Ignore (User link)] in postbit dropdown menu
And much more...

I have tested this style on our dev forum and everything seems to be working fine [Tested both on IE & FF]. If you find any bugs, or notice someting funny, please report them in the customer area.

NOTE: The alt child styles images .zip file are the additional images used by the alternative child styles that are included in this 1.6.1 release! Don't forget to upload them.

Thanks for the great job, I was wondering was that style tested on IE7?

Also one more question, is it compatible with other languages like Arabic? some styles have a hardcoded text in templates plus tables do break sometimes when direction is changed from LTR to RTL.

I can't answer about change of text direction as I don't have any experience with that, but from memory the whole style is phrased so there isn't any hard coding of text.

But I am happy to be corrected on this as it has been some time since I was last in the code for this style.

you can easily test RTL ..

in ACP go to the language settings and change the "text direction", it doesn't really matter what language you are using since we are looking purely at the tables and cells in that case.
