I hope you had a wonderful vacation and that you're now back for more vbfans content. I wanted to let you all know that we are still improving our network (as always) and our recent change is a move from one server to another.
This server move has already taken place and both hosting accounts point to the new MySQL database already so there is no downtime. It doesn't matter if you end up on the old or the new hosting account. The new hosting account is a server with just a few accounts. So performance should be a lot better. We also have more control over the software running and those kind of things that could drag upgrades on. Nothing but good stuff.
In the next few days your dns will slowly update. You can check already if you are on the old or the new server. If you go to the footer (bottom left) you will see a number: 209.85.42.62 - this is the new IP, the old IP starts with a 6.
Hopefully with last years changes to move all the sites from 5 different accounts into one. And later on to have all the domains use 1 database and set of files, and now with a much better server, and all that, the downtimes and slowness has disappeared for the most part and y our vbfans browsing and posting experience will be going a lot smoother.
