Since version 0.09 of the vBulletin.nl Professional Style Package for vBulletin.nl and other vBulletin powered sites there have been a high demand to get it shared. A public release was made for version 3.0 and sold with a huge discount to get it spread among those who were so patient to either beta test it or to wait for the stable.
Once 1.x was out the door we've been able to develop it with multiple themes, admincp styles, customized images, etc. Thanks to the development team, which included (to just name a few) Apoco, Onimua, Brian, Chroder, myself, and through contributions from fans.
The package was updated with every release, for as long as we could.
The package has received two awards from vBulletin.com's Board of the Month competition for the style and a custom build that resulted from it.
The package had a few private builds for corporations and other known companies with a unique green and silver style, to just name a few.
It was updated all the way through 3.5 with love, and despite lack of sales it was still fully supported by Brian and myself where possible, all the way through 3.6 and now 3.7.
Unfortunately we will be unable to continue to do so. We're simply lacking the time and resources; despite our best intentions.
With some minor adjustments it will be possible to run it up until version 3.8, and it will work with the official addons still. And legacy support can be provided unofficially via our site feedback project up until March 31st, 2009.
Thank you all for your contribution to make the prostyle package complete, and for your support of course. And especially thank you for the customers who are still using it, and for the users who helped me build the style.
But with this announcement I hereby inform that as author of the vBulletin Fans Network Professional Style Package 1.x, the time has come to discontinue the development, support and sales per January 1st, 2009.
Throughout December our staff will update the prostyle forum with a final build for download, and change the support forum to read only. On January 1st, 2009, the forum will be locked and/or moved away into our private archive.
Please note that the copyright of the style will remain my property, and usage permission is extended to the customer with no time limit. Rebranding, reselling, renting, sharing or otherwise distribution of the style will remain prohibited.
