The wetalk network is looking to fill a few moderator positions on our community.
The wetalk network is a network of sites, all powered by a single instance of vBulletin (one database). Using a smart plugin we can split general topics via domain names. For example,
wetalk.tv to discuss TV only, and
wetalkmovies.net to discuss MOVIES only. Of course, the user only has to register once, and has access to all 10+ sites, while being part of just 1 community.
The benefits here are 1 news forum, not 12 .. 1 newsletter, not 12. And if you have friends who are into movies, but not tv. While you are in tv. You can still keep in touch via your social profile and the live chat, etc. While you both participate in topics only interested to you.
We started years ago with creations.nl as offtopic site, and grown to a vbulletin fans network, and in 2007 we started building the wetalk network. Building new sites like wetalkgames.net and wetalksports.net and merging the vbfans network into it under vbfans.com and creations.nl and some phpbb sites under omgboards.com and acquired additional sites like thenewtech.com nintendo for wetalkgames.net ..
As you can tell we're growing and doing great, but not super.. And we need staff to write content, manage sticky threads and announcements. Need staff to build blogs and social groups, and help manage the users.
We're looking for volunteer positions to be filled for all our 10+ sites, so if you like say movies and would love to help, you can be the one we're looking for.
You can pick the topics you're interested in and help us build up the forum structure, the announcements, sticky threads and new content, as well as discuss topics with our members and help keep momentum going.
You will not only be a moderator to do tasks, but also a valued member of the community. With option to grow to super moderator over time.
If you have the motivation and dedication to pick up a long term project such as 'being on the wetalk network team as moderator for 1 or more sites', and actually have the free time to check the site every day or so for new spam and content. And complete a weekly and/or monthly staff task. Then perhaps you're who we're looking for.
On our team are known community players such as Mikey (also staff here I believe) and Chroder, Brian, and many others.
Let me know if you're up for it and in it for the long run and have the free time. And which forums .. and we can probably get started pretty quick.
You can contact me on contact at wetalknation.net or by contacting me on this web site.
We're looking forward to your application and to invite you to our team
